The purpose of my website is to allow fashionistas to keep up with the latest trends and events in South Florida. It will include articles reviewing the latest trends, information on where to buy the styles reviewed, and fashion related events. This site will provide valuable information to users who are interested in fashion and the fashion industry.
I would like this site to become a hub for fashion minded people to collect and exchange information. Articles will be written from the viewpoint of a 22 year old girl, so the target audience will most likely be girls who can relate to my viewpoint. I would like the audience to think this site is stylish and up to date and a good resource for what they’re looking for in South Florida fashions.
In order to meet the goals of the site, articles will have to be written that are relevant and timely. The design of the site will have to reflect and appeal to the target audience. I’d like to become a trusted source of information so that my users come back again and again.
Web-related strategies that will be implemented in order to measure the success of the site include google analytics and social media outlets. Twitter followers and fans will be a measuring factor as well as number of unique hits over time.
Initially the site will contain a home page, article archive, events, an about page, and contact.
Intro to Web Design excited me but scared me. I honestly thought that this was going to be a rough class for me, but it is something really important to learn as EVERYTHING is now on the web.
Wanting to start my own clothing company, learning web design will only help me. I am so glad that this class has been so great so far.
The lessons provided along with tutorials and examples are amazing. I am taking another class in an online learning community and it is terrible. The teacher, along with the lack of instructions has made me appreciate this web design class even more. I feel like I am learning a lot of stuff, a lot of beneficial stuff, and it is challenging yet managable.
I am really happy with this class so far, and look forward to the next lesson.
I finished my first html5 project – check it out here:
